This became even more apparent when our next dish, Butter Chicken arrived. It was a terrible dish, especially at the price point of 329nt. The next morning, and I'm still scratching my head as to why the owner urged us to order this. Gross visually, texturally and taste- wise.ģ - The marinade was nice, but the dish lacked any smoky, bbq flavor, which should be a key feature of this dish. After a couple of minutes, it was dry and tedious to chew.Ģ - Served on a sizzling hotplate over a bed of lettuce, which was pale in color and soggy. As soon as it came out, i knew this was a big mistake.ġ - Boneless chicken breast used instead of leg or thigh meat. The owner said it was too much food and strongly recommended we substitute Aloo Gobi for Tandoori Chicken, which he reassured me was excellent. Saturday Night Dinner - Came very hungry with a friend and ordered 3 curries with garlic and butter Naan. We're super full by the end of our breakfast we felt like crawling on our way to the bus stop. What I ordered were excessive for just two people - they're quite heavy! We tried to finish them all but we just decided to wrap you tiao (twisted cruller) to go. I didn't mind as they were just affordable. I got a bit too excited and wanted to try a little bit of everything. Your Taiwanese-breakfast is not complete if you don't try this beverage. We satisfied our bellies with carbs and egg-filled meal and washed down with dou jiang (soy milk), cold version for my companion and the hot one for me. You just have to point on their food on display to let them know of your orders. You get attended to as soon as you walk into the restaurant. Good thing that they are open 24 hours, we didn't have to worry about coming too early and having to wait. We walked all the way from our lodging in Sichuan 3rd Street to this shop along Wenxin Road early in the morning before we headed to our booked daytrip meeting place. It was a new experience to try the traditional Taiwanese breakfast on our 2nd day in Xitun District, Taichung City.
